Taking a mid-day nap improves your mind, body and performance. Most people do not sleep long enough and deep enough at night and then feel drowsy in the afternoon. You can make yourself more alert, reduce stress loads and even feel more patient when you take a simple fifteen minute nap.
Remember when you put your children to sleep every afternoon? Remember when they didn't get their NAP. They would cry eaisly, fuss and whine.
While small children typically nap in the afternoon and European adults enjoy day naps, our culture frowns upon mid-day sleep. We must be highly productive, keep going and move faster.
But are we producing? Maybe we have grown comfortable with the illusion that we are being productive? How much time do you use looking for energy, closing your eyes for a minute?
With a nap you will be more alert and improve mental functioning.
Who else is interested in more patience, easier learning, better reaction time, more efficiency and better health?
"My staff knows I nap at noon. They like my better moods in the afternoon. I am happier. I get more done, too." Raymond Schinn, Executive, Philadelphia
Check this out -- Along with a much needed power nap, you will also conduct a
Brain Search. You will design a project, resolve a problem, inspire creativity or even mentally rehearse for a presentation or performance. When you return to the room, the answer, vision, or solution will
POP! into your mind. One more real good reason to take your 40 Winks!
