Linda ate 5 - 8 packages of Ho-Ho's every day. She wanted to stop eating them completely because she complained of weight gain, fatigue, mood swings, and preoccupation with cravings. Using EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Linda was instantly stimulated by the sound of the crinkly wrapper and just seeing the HoHo's. Her desire for them increased 10 fold as the wrapper was opened and the smell wafted through the air. I could see a misty twinkle in her eyes and she said she had started to salivate.

From zero to ten, her desire to eat the Ho-Ho's was at an 8 level of intensity, "I want to eat them now!"

We went through one round of tapping on EFT points talking through the experience described above. After one round the salivation was gone and they looked 'ok' in appearance although they were not as visually appealing as before. I observed a distancing away from the Ho-Ho's by her change in posture. The misty twinkle in her eye was also gone.

The next aspect to manage was the continued influence of the fragrance. She explained that it was still triggering her, yet there was something different or changed that she could not pinpoint.

Her desire for the Ho-Ho's dropped from an 8 to a 3.5.

Our next round focused on the fragrance and how her nose tingled. She decided that the Ho-Ho's were less and less appealing as we tapped.

After this round, I encouraged her to get close to the cakes and to breathe them in deeply. She immediately turned away coughing. She was surprised at the chemical smell and how different they smelled to her. There was absolutely no appeal to them from a fragrance standpoint.

I could see that 'something' was shifting for her as she leaned back in the chair and said, I "know why I ate these - stress!  I am so frustrated because my sister is living here with us ..."

After a few more rounds, a hypnotic color change technique and mental strategies for stress reduction, her desire for the Ho- Ho's was a 0.

She tossed them in the trash. I spoke with Alex 6 months, 2 years and 3 years later - No Ho-Ho's and no substitutions! She had also lost 8 pounds and felt much, much better and happier!
